THE RUNDOWN:  

  • The Wheaton College women's basketball team fell to Williams 66-36 in the opening game of the Williams Tournament Friday night.  
  • Wheaton was led by 13 points from Sadie Shore who hit 5-of-10 from the floor while hitting both of her free-throw attempts. Mikayla Pucci chipped in seven points in the effort. 
  • Bri Forbes led all players with 10 rebounds, while Shore, Natalie Wind, and Ashley Hill each came up with two steals.
  • Williams got a game-high 15 points from Maggie Meehan, while Mikaela Topper chipped in 10 points.
  • The Ephs ended the opening quarter with a 15 point advantage and never looked back. 
  • Despite trailing the entire contest, the Lyons continued to challenge Williams, finishing with just one less rebound than the Ephs.
