BOSTON, Mass. - Wheaton College women's lacrosse player Molly Witten is being honored as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week after helping guide the team to a 18-5 victory on Saturday in the season opener.
Witten played the first half of the contest against Gordon, coming up with three saves in the win. She also posted a .600 save percentage with just two goals against in her 30 minutes.
Wheaton travels to Endicott College on Saturday with game time scheduled at 1 p.m.
