NORTON, Mass. - First-year Noelle Perciballi netted the games only goal in the 21st minute, earning the Wheaton College women's soccer team its seventh straight win with a 1-0 defeat of Maine Maritime.

The Lyons (7-0-0) were in control of the game throughout, outshooting the Mariners 24-2, while holding a 3-0 advantage in corners. Maine Maritime (2-3-1) goalkeeper Maggie McConky came up huge for her team on several occasions, making 11 saves, while giving up just the one goal.

Wheaton played all three of its keepers with Leann Wolf getting the start. Wolf played the entire first half of action, while Alexa Barbagallo and Sarah Caron split time in the second half. None of the Lyon keepers were forced to make a save.

The Lyons lone goal came when Aunyes Hermantin played the ball out from the left side of the field, which made its way to Perciballi at the center edge of the 18-yard box. Perciballi, who was left all alone, wasted no time getting a shot off, blasting a hard hit ball over McConky's head into the top netting. The goal is Perciballi's second of the season.

Wheaton returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 21 with a 4:15 p.m. road match against Colby-Sawyer.
