Women's Soccer Takes Down Babson 2-1 in Overtime

NORTON, Mass. - Sophomore Jaime Rattenni netted the game-winner in the 92nd minute of action, pushing the Wheaton College women's soccer team (4-2-3, 1-1 NEWMAC) past visiting Babson College 2-1 Saturday afternoon in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action.

Wheaton took a 1-0 lead in the 49th minute courtesy of a poor Babson clearnace that found the foot of Hannah Lepordo. The Beavers (4-4-1, 0-1-1 NEWMAC) knotted the game at 1-1 in the 68th minute off a corner kick. The Lyons found the game-winner just a minute into the first overtime period when Rattenni put away a Chloe Troy cross from the flank. Alexa Barbagallo ended the contest with seven saves for Wheaton, while Morgan Fedosiewich had 12 for Babson. Wheaton outshot Babson 28-17, while holding a 4-2 advantage in corners.
