Magalhaes Named NEWMAC Women's Soccer Co-Defensive Athlete of the Week

WESTWOOD, Mass. - Wheaton College women's soccer player Kyla Magalhaes was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Soccer Co-Defensive Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday. 

Magalhaes helped Wheaton to two league wins over the week, holding both opponents scoreless while on the field. Magalhaes was a key part of the defensive line that shut out Wellesley, 4-0, before defeating Smith later in the week. 

Magalhaes and the Lyons return to the road for its next contest, traveling to Emerson on Tuesday, Oct. 15 for a 6 p.m. NEWMAC contest. VIDEO / LIVE STATS
