THE RUNDOWN:  

  • The Wheaton College women's soccer team traveled to Emerson College Tuesday evening for a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest, which saw the host Lions pull out a 1-0 victory. 
  • The only goal of the contest came in the 33rd minute off an Ainslee MacQuarrie pass to Veronica Alberts. Wheaton had two scoring opportunities of its own in the first half, but both shots were met by the Emerson keeper. 
  • Jenna Palmer tried to find the equalizer in the 55th minute, but once again the shot was met by the Emerson keeper. 
  • Alexa Barbagallo came up with seven saves for Wheaton, while Megan Rose of Emerson made four.
