Women's Soccer Falls at Coast Guard; Earn 6 Seed in NEWMAC Tournament

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • The Wheaton College women's soccer team traveled to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Saturday afternoon for the final New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest of the season, with the Bears earning a 3-0 victory. 
  • Wheaton, who were outshot 28-11, managed to put four balls on frame. 
  • Coast Guard scored what would be the game-winning goal in the 10th minute of action with Claire Hurley netting the first of her three goals of the day. She scored again in the 33rd and 45th minute.
