Andy Butler enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Wheaton College women's soccer program in 2019-20. Butler began his tenure with the program in the spring of 2019 working primarily with the goalkeepers, while also focusing on recruiting. 

Butler attended Northeastern University where he played soccer and lacrosse. Butler co-founded the men’s and women’s club soccer programs at Northeastern and, after his playing career, went on to coach the women’s club soccer team at Northeastern for 10 years.
 
During Butler’s tenure at Northeastern, he helped build the program from the ground up and enjoyed marked success. Butler coached the Huskies to multiple divisional championships, 10 regional championship bids and top-10 regional rankings in every season he coached the program. Butler’s Huskies also earned four national championship bids.
 
 
Butler traveled the world as a player, official and coach. Originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, Butler moved to the United States and lived in Concord, Mass., where he enjoyed a great playing career before returning to São Paulo, Brasil and then Pomfret School in Connecticut before attending Northeastern University.
 
Butler is a USSF and FIFA certified Official and holds a National License from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
