Swimming Qualifies Athletes for NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Wheaton College swimming & diving programs had five individuals and three relay teams qualify for the 2018 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. 

For the women, senior Jenna Hayden will compete in the 100 and 200 freestyle, as well as the 100 backstroke. First-year Lydia DaCorte will take part in the 200 and 500 free, as well as the 1650 free. Sophomore Erin Kean will get a chance to compete in the 200 breaststroke.

The women will also enter in three relay teams: the 400 and 800 free, as well as the 400 medley. Hayden and DaCorte will compete in all three relays, while Caitlin Daley and Aleza Epstein will swim in both free relays. Joining Hayden and DaCorte in the 400 medley relay will be Kean and first-year Eva Pet.

On the men's side, senior Jonathan Dunnett will swim in the 100 and 200 breast, as well as the 200 Individual Medley. Junior Jacob Cost will also represent the Lyons, swimming in the 50 free, and the 100 and 200 back.

Also competing in post season are divers Maddy Morrison and Antonio Guerrieri, who are competing at the NCAA Diving Regionals this weekend. 

The championships will take place March 21-24 at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind.
