NORTON, Mass.- Wheaton College women's tennis junior Lyndsay Cooke (Bakersfield, Calif./Bakersfield Christian) and sophomore Alexandra Marlowe (Mesa, Ariz./Mountain View) earned New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference's (NEWMAC) Co-Doubles Team of the Week on Monday.
Marking the second doubles honor for the tandem in as many years, Cooke and Marlowe share the award with a Mount Holyoke College doubles team.
Cooke and Marlowe cruised to an 8-0 triumph in the top doubles spot during Wheaton's 6-3 home victory over 2011 NCAA Tournament team Simmons College on Saturday. Dating back to last year, the tandem is 13-3 in dual matches.
The Lyons head to Dudley on Wednesday for a non-league contest against Nichols College at 4:00 p.m.
