Marlowe Selected As Women’s Tennis Singles Player Of The Week

Senior picks up tenth career weekly award

NORTON, Mass. – Wheaton College senior Alexandra Marlowe (Mesa, Ariz./Mountain View) has been named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Tennis Singles Player of the Week, it was announced earlier today.

Marlowe posted a perfect 2-0 record on the week at No. 1 singles with wins over Babson and Colby. Marlowe, who is 5-2 this season at No.1 singles in conference matches, also won a match last week at No. 1 doubles with teammate Amanda Brazell (Las Vegas, Nev./The Meadows School).

Marlowe is now a ten-time NEWMAC weekly award honoree having claimed three NEWMAC Singles Player of the Week accolades and seven Doubles Team of the Week laurels in her career.

Wheaton (5-5, 4-3 NEWMAC) hosts Clark University on Thursday for a NEWMAC matchup at 4 p.m.
