Women's Track and Field Competes at Tufts Snowflake Classic

LOCATION: Boston, Mass. 

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • Madeline Brucker started off the meet for the Lyons with a second place finish in the 10,000m run.  Her time of 38:36.87 qualifies her for both the New England DIII Championship and the All-New England Championship. Her time also places her first on the NEWMAC performance list.  
  • In the 1500m run, Gina Pardi was the first Lyon to cross the finish line. Her time of 5:00.75 was just .03 off her personal best.  Abby LeBlanc, Holly Cohan, and Rebecca Miceli all turned in personal-best performances in the 1500m run. 
  • Briana Gausland, Raevyn Fontaine, Saralynn Spear and Chellsie Pearson finished second in the 4x100m relay with a time of 49.55.
  • Cathryn MacGregor turned in a season-best throw of 37.93m in the javelin to finish in fifth place and qualify her for the New England DIII Championship. 
  • Briana Gausland made her debut in the 400m run with a ninth-place effort.  Her time of 1:01.98 is currently fourth on the NEWMAC performance list.    
  • Tara Rochefort finished eighth in the hammer throw with a toss of 38.34m. She later went on to throw a personal best of 28.94m in the discus.
