Women's Track and Field With Five Event Winners at Trinity College Invitational

LOCATION: Hartford, CT. 

THE RUNDOWN:  

  • In the 400m Relay, Briana Gausland, Raevyn Fontaine, Sara Spear and Chellsie Pearson ran a season-best time of 48.44.  Their time currently ranks 15th on the NCAA Division III performance list.  
  • Cathryn MacGregor threw a huge personal record of 40.80 meters in the javelin to finish second in the event.  Her throw is currently ranked 12th on the NCAA Division III performance list. 
  • Raevyn Fontaine won the 100m hurdles in a time of 14.86 and teammate Ellen Shaw finished close behind for a second place finish. 
  • Shaw was first in the high jump with a personal best of 1.57 meters.  Caren McCarthy (1.52m) and Lauren Davidson (1.47m) were third and sixth respectively. 
  • In the triple jump, Lizzy Akindolie jumped a season best of 11.45m to win the event by .80 meters. Her jump moved her up to 19th on the NCAA DIII performance list.
  • Briana Gausland ran a season-best time of 25.92 to win the 200m.  Abby Epplett ran a personal best of 26.44 for fourth place and Saralyn Spear was eighth in a season-best time of 27.02. 
  • In the 1500m run, Gina Pardi and Abby LeBlanc were 5th and 7th respectively.  LeBlanc's time of 5:04.35 was a personal best.  
  • Tara Rochefort won the women's hammer with a throw of 40.33m.
  • The women's 4x800m Relay of LeBlanc, Gina Pardi, Holly Cohan and Maddi Groen were 2nd in a time of 10:19.22.
