Walker Leads Women at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational

Sophomore Margaret Walker led the women at BU on Friday with two outstanding performances in the 60m and 200m. Walker got her day started in the 60m Dash where she won the open section running a time of (7.88) which ties her season-best and currently puts her at 34th in the country in the event. She came back later in the day to run the 200m Dash running an all-time personal best of (25.56) and that time currently puts her 25th in the country. 

 Senior Briana Gausland also had a great day in the 200m Dash running a season-best time of (25.63) and that time puts her at 28th in the country in the event. Sophomore Alexandra Case competed in the 200m dash as well running a time of (26.00). Elizabeth Matre (26.76), Chellsie Pearson (26.83) and Hannah Wescott (27.31) rounded out the day in the 200m dash for the Lyons. 

 Sophomore Ellen Shaw competed in the 400m Dash running a time of (1:02.66). 

 Senior Gina Pardi competed in the One Mile run finishing in a time of (5:22.87) cutting off 6 seconds from the week before. 

 Sophomore Katherine Leckbee competed in the 3000m run finishing in a time of (10:34.34). 

 Sophmore Nina Schofield was the top finisher for the Lyons in the 60m Hurdles running a time of (9.52). She was joined by Shaw (9.67) and Wescott (9.72). 

The Lyons will be back in action next week at the Bowdoin College Invitational.
