- The Wheaton College women's cross country team competed at the UMass.-Dartmouth Invitational Saturday afternoon with the Lyon first-years stepping up and leading the way. The Lyons finished the race in 14th place out of 45 teams, which included New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) rivals Babson and Clark, who finished behind Wheaton.
- Katherine Leckbee paced the Lyons finishing in 14th place with a time of 19:04.71 after passing over 25 other runners in the final mile of the race.
- Junior Gina Pardi was the next Wheaton runner to cross the finish line, finishing in 20:23.32, while Allie Demers (20:35.43) and Emma Yount (20:35.78) finished back-to-back.
- Rebecca Miceli rounded out the top-five for the Lyons with a time of 21:06.31. Chelsea El-Hajj was the final Lyon to cross the finish line with a time of 21:26.54.
UP NEXT: The Lyons return to the course on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Saratoga Invitational.
