- The Wheaton College men's cross country team returned to action on Saturday afternoon at the Western New England University Invitational with the Lyons finishing in fourth place out of 12 teams.
- First-year Katherine Leckbee finished in fifth place out of 122 competitors, finishing behind three Division I athletes from Harvard and a runner from Bridgewater State. Leckbee finished the race in 22:59.
- Gina Pardi was the next Lyon to finish, concluding the race in 24:07 which earned her 14th place. First-year Emma Yount finished half a minute later, earning 24th place (24:31), while Allie Demers finished in 24:37.
- Rounding out the top-five for Wheaton was Rebecca Miceli who crossed the finish line in 24:40.
UP NEXT: Wheaton will travel to Smith College for the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship on Saturday, Oct. 27 for an 11 a.m. start.
